A new information bar (One time) on Windows 10 insider build 15019 (Tablet only)

There are message bar appear when I first time login my Chuwi Vi8 plus which is just upgrade to 15019.

When you click one of the option (I click on "See What's New"), the Microsoft Edge come up and it provide a page to introduce many new things of this build.

Windows 10 Insider Preview (Creators Update) Build 15019 for PC released on Fast Ring (Successful to download and install at 19:00 GMT+8)

The Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15019 for released on Fast Ring at 4:00 GMT+8

I start my upgrade from around 8:20 and it keep "Initiating updates...." (There are some twitted said that this process will take 30 mins to 60 mins.....), so I go to sleep again....

After I wake up around noon, I receive the following errors:

I report this error to the insider and reply to @donasarkar twitter

I re-try to run the update around 14:00, I receive the other error message and then I report this error to insider and reply to @windowsinsider and @donasarkar twitter

I re-run the update at 19:00, I able to download the upgrade finally.

 

I able to upgrade to 15019 from 15014.....

EMET 5.51 upgrade to 5.52 issue on Windows 8.1

If you upgrade your EMET 5.51 to 5.52 by using a normal user account (You enter your admin credential when the UAC prompt up), you will able to upgrade successfully but the EMET will not start to protect those application opt-in to being protect

 

Solution:

You will need to change "Quick Profile" back to "normal security setting", reboot your machine, then change it to "maximum security setting" and then reboot your machine again. (You may receive some errors during change the security setting, please safely to ignore it)

After that, your EMET will running normally.

 

You can check the running processes to see any process running EMET to protect like the following:

Windows 10 Insider Preview (Creators Update) Build 15014 for PC and Mobile released on Fast Ring

It just release and installing on my Nokia Lumia 636, Chuwi Vi8 Plus tablet and Lenovo X61 now..

This update have something special is a display card driver also release to my tablet Chuwi Vi8 Plus.

For Windows Phone, if you have issue on running the update like me. Please reboot your phone and try again.

Windows 10 Insider Preview (Creators Update) Build 15002 for PC BSOD on Oracle Virtualbox 5.1.12 (Workaround)

When you upgrade to Windows 10 Insider Preview (Creators Update) Build 15002 for PC on Oracle Virtualbox 5.1.12, it keeps BSOD and auto reboot it.

 

The workaround is unselect the two acceleration under display:

How to force uninstall McAfee Agent 5.x?

1.  cd C:\Program Files\McAfee\Agent\x86

2. Run "FrmInst.exe /forceuninstall"

Windows 10 Insider Preview (Creators Update) Build 15002 for PC released on Fast Ring

Issues when you try to display a large TIFF file that contains multiple pages by using Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 7

Verify the bug
1.    Open the “Windows Task Manager” and also open the problematic files (Large TIFF file with multiple pages), navigate to different page of the file until saw the error screen like the following: (Error message: Windows Photo Viewer can’t open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or  is too large.)

When you hit this bug, you will found that the memory usage become very high.

2. Close the problematic file, you will found the memory back to normal.

In this example, the file is 23.2 MB with 58 pages.

Solution

1. Download the hotfix https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2635500

2. Install Windows6.1-KB2635500-x86.msu for Windows 7 32bits or Windows6.1-KB2635500-x64.msu for Windows 7 64bits

3. Reboot the machine

4. Open the problematic files, you will find the issue being resolve, memory usage become normal like the following and also no error of the file in the Windows Photo Viewer

A New Clean Up PC Features in Windows 10 Creators Update (Build 14986)

Run the command:

systemreset -cleanpc

 

Remove all installed apps and programs.
Restore all settings to their defaults.
Install all released feature and cumulative updates to bring the operating system up to date.

 

After you enter the command, you will receive a message box like the following:

You will receive a list of program will be removed:

A warning message will show you before you confirm to reset the PC since it is not able to undo the upgrade and go back to the previous version of Windows.

You will receive a message box like this before you start the clean up process

After you press the "Clean" button, it will start to reset your PC

After the clean up complete, you will receive a report like this which is save as your desktop:
