How to replace Hard disk on Acer V5 571G

1. Remove ALL the screws under the bottom of the laptop

2. Remove the keyboard from the laptop

3. Remove ALL the screws

4. Remove the old harddisk

5. Install a new one. (Please note that the new 2.5” SATA hard disk need to 7mm thin)

Windows 10 full screen with correct resolution on Acer laptop on Lubuntu (Virtualbox)

1. Enable 2D and 3D acceleration on the VM (Power off the VM)

2. Install Oracle virtual machine add on to the VM.

WMP EHCT801 keyboard issue resolve after upgrade to 17134.48

The WMP EHCT801 keyboard was broken after upgrade tp 1803 “Windows 10 April 2018 Update” (17134.1).

The issue have been resolved after you apply the May 2018 CU (KB4103721) for 1803 to upgrade the OS to 17134.48

The 2018-05 Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for arm-based Phone Devices have been released on my Lumia 640

After apply the May update, it become 15063.1088

Fix virtualbox update issue after Lubuntu upgrade to 18.04

Error:
~$ sudo apt update
[sudo] password for billy:
Hit:1 http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian bionic InRelease
All packages are up to date.
N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'contrib/binary-i386/Packages' as repository 'http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian bionic InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'i386'

Solution:
1. sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/virtualbox.list
2. Replace the line to deb [arch=amd64] http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian bionic contrib

~$ sudo apt update
Hit:4 http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian bionic InRelease
Fetched 69.9 kB in 1s (48.9 kB/s)
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
All packages are up to date.

Lubuntu upgrade from 17.10 to 18.04

If you have enable 3rd parties apps source, you will receive a warning like the following:

Just close it, it will continuous the upgrade, you need to re-enable those 3rd parties apps source after the upgrade complete.

Use a Onda V80 (Android 7.0) to build a kid Android Tablet

The high level steps at the following:

1. Create a new Google account for this tablet

2. Remove or disable not in use apps

3. Setup Parental Controls on Google Play (https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1075738?hl=en)

4. Creating and Using Restricted Profiles to control which apps able to run under the kids account (https://www.wikihow.tech/Set-Up-Parental-Controls-in-Android)

5. Enable Restricted Mode on YouTube Apps (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/174084?co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid&hl=en)

(I didn't sign-in google account, it also able to enable restricted mode on the apps)
